Tyler and Sophie’s engagement session was freezing! There was quite a bit of snow on the ground and the wind was intense. We all braved the cold the best we could! But their wedding day….now that was perfect! The week prior to the wedding was full of rain and strong gusts, Sophie and I were equally nervous-checking the forecast every few hours in the days before Saturday. Weather is always a concern, but when you plan an outdoor ceremony, there is much more anticipation for a beautiful day!

The rain came and went before Saturday and Tyler and Sophie ended up having the most gorgeous fall day! The clouds broke up and the sun came out for their lakeside ceremony! Perfect really is the word to describe their wedding as a whole. Wedding days are a pretty big ordeal-there are lots of details and planning that needs to come together. Sticking to a timeline can sometimes be tricky and there usually always are a few small hiccups throughout the day, but Tyler and Sophie’s day truly was seamless.

Sophie was so calm and relaxed. I showed up early to scout out the area and when I checked in with Sophie she was already all set to go-she greeted me with a smile and a hug and led me to her “details” (rings, flowers, dress) that were laid out for me to begin photographing! The day continued in this manner! We were ahead of schedule and had ample time to spare. Because of her planning and laid back attitude, there was little to no stress in the day. Tyler and Sophie were able to enjoy their wedding day and celebrate alongside their friends and family!
