A BWB Ranch Wedding

Ben + Sonja

Ben and Sonja were married on a sunny summer Saturday in July at BWB Ranch in Laporte, MN. When you turn off the rural road and enter into the BWB Ranch you are met by rolling fields and a long driveway lined with towering trees. This entrance alone is impressive, but the real beauty comes when you reach the top of the hill and enter into the little slice of paradise that is the BWB Ranch. This wedding was nothing short of amazing and I can’t wait to share a little of it with you!

When Sonja and her bridesmaids first arrived at the venue they were calm and collected, prepared and ready for the day ahead. This isn’t always the case on the morning of a wedding day and I was actually surprised to see how relaxed everyone was. As the day continued on, this remained the vibe. Everything went on without a hitch and Sonja and Ben were married on one of the most beautiful days of the summer!

Guests enjoyed their outdoor ceremony and mingling amongst the trees and lawn games that were set up at the cocktail hour. An array of freshly made and cooked wood fire pizzas were served for dinner inside the BWB Ranch’s one of a kind wedding barn. After toasts it was time for the dances…this was a highlight of the evening! Sonja and Ben romantically danced together as their first time as husband and wife and were then followed by a dance with Sonja and her dad. A sweet embrace was had as Sonja began slow dancing with her dad, but moments into the song an abrupt change of beat happened and they broke out in one of the best father daughter dance duo’s I have ever seen! It was a great day to say the least! After a hard spring, full of difficult decisions for Sonja and Ben and their families about how to handle their wedding in the midst of a pandemic, I was so glad to see that they were able to be married and to safely celebrate with their loved ones! And that calm, cool, and collected vibe that was felt thought the day came right from Sonja and Ben…
