Ben + Kassie

 

This summer has probably been the busiest summer of my life! Of course, things were already busy between our normal family life with three little kiddos and the typical influx that comes with a summer photography schedule. But, added into the mix this summer was me taking on the lead role of designing our new church building, buying a new house, and selling ours.

The week that Ben and Kassie’s engagement session was planned for was particularly busy and quite honestly, I was exhausted. I was still very excited for the session and knew I would just have to muster up some energy. Well, that is not how things went at all. This session was a true turning point for me in knowing that photographing couples is absolutely the right thing for me!

The second I got to the session and we started chatting and shooting I instantly felt the stress leave. I honestly had more fun that night with Kassie and Ben than I had in a long time. We laughed…a lot, danced in fields, corralled horses, got lots of puppy kisses, and enjoyed an amazing Minnesota summer night. This session was exactly what I needed. It took a burden off my shoulders and reminded me why I love doing this so much!

Kassie and Ben are really something else! They were so extremely natural in front of the camera! They truly love one another and had so much fun showing it! I think my cheeks hurt from smiling behind the camera cause they were just so dang cute together! They are also just such good people. They were so kind and generous to me and treated me like a life long friend! I couldn’t be more thankful for their graciousness and for the way they welcomed me in!

Congratulations on your engagement Kassie and Ben! Thank you so much for being so amazing!! I couldn’t be happier for you two and I’m so thankful I got to be a part of your story together!!
