Rob + Lizzy

I met Lizzy and Rob for their engagement session the night before The 4th of July. It was sunny and warm and filled with mosquitoes 😉 …it was everything you think of when you think of summer! I loved getting to know these two! Conversation came so easily and I could have spent all night just talking with them. They are so kind, easy going, and relatable!

One of the biggest reasons I love photographing weddings is because I get to build relationships with my couples! You learn so much about a couple over the course of their engagement and throughout the planning for the wedding. It gives me a chance to get to know them and find out how they work together, who the shy one is, who the extrovert is, what they like and dislike, what makes them laugh, and how they have fun together. It is a culmination of all of these things that allow me to be the best photographer I can for them on their wedding day. It is also so much more exciting going into a wedding when you have already built a relationship with the bride and groom! I get so excited for my couples when they get married and it’s because they feel like friends by that time, not just clients.
