Minnesota Northwoods Winter Engagement Photos

Lauren and Drew drove all the way up from St. Paul for their engagement session! They invited me out to Lauren’s grandparents’ resort, Big Balsam Camp for the photos. It was the perfect spot for an engagement session! I arrived a little early to the session to do some location scouting and I quickly realized that everywhere I looked there was an opportunity for good photos! Snow covered trees, grand overlooks of the lake, a forest of tall pines, whispy winter grass…the options were endless! I also loved that we met here for their session because it is where their wedding will take place next fall! Meeting Lauren and Drew, talking about their relationship and their plans for the wedding, and walking the grounds where it will all take place, made me even more excited for their big day!

I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I do! These two were so great to work with-so kind and fun and easy going and completely adorable together! I loved Lauren’s red shirt against the pines and snow and just wait till you scroll down and see her dress! This Minnesota, outdoor girl braved the cold in a gorgeous sleeveless, floor-length gown and I think it was totally worth it! And even though I raved about the beautiful location and stunning outfits the real show stoppers are truly Drew and Lauren! I loved getting to know them and couldn’t be more excited for them to not only get married but to embark on this new journey together as husband and wife!
