A Fall Grand Rapids, MN Wedding

There is so much I could say about Kari and Tony! The first time I met them at their engagement session this past winter, I immediately felt comfortable! And although their fall wedding might have been colder than their winter engagement session, these two were just as lovely to be around! There is something about Kari that makes you happy when you see her, I’m not sure if it is her contagious smile or her kind demeanor, but it is easy to see why Tony would fall for her! And Tony-what a sweetheart! You should have seen him when I was taking individual portraits of Kari!! He was off to the side just staring at her and talking about how he couldn’t believe she was his wife! And it wasn’t just Tony that was blown away by Kari’s beauty. It is always interesting and entertaining for me to overhear guests conversations at a wedding. As the ceremony was about to begin and I staked out a spot to get photos of the wedding party and Kari coming down the aisle, I overheard so many conversations that made me smile…”Have you seen her yet!? Oh my goodness, she is just gorgeous!” and “Kari is SO stunning! I mean, she is always beautiful, but wait till you see her today!” and “This girl! She needs to be in a magazine!” I would have to say, I totally agree with them! Kari was an absolute knockout!

Kari and Tony were married at the 1917 Barn just outside of Grand Rapids. Their outdoor ceremony boasted views of Minnesota’s gorgeous fall trees, then after dinner, everyone headed to the barn for a good ole’ fashion barn dance. Kari and Tony started off the evening with their first dance as husband and wife and as the song ended Tony leaned down and kissed Kari on the hand-see, I’m telling you guys-such a sweetheart (go check out those photos below!)! Ladies-mary a man like Tony! A man that kisses your hand, makes sure you’re staying warm on a cold day, and tells everyone else how lucky he is to have such a gorgeous girl to call his own!
