A Hudson, WI Winter Wedding
Last Saturday Paige and Nathan spent a day together that they will never forget! It was the first of their many days as husband and wife! I felt so honored to be a part of it and am elated to share with you some of my favorite moments!
I usually always meet my bride and grooms well before their wedding day, but this wasn’t the case with Paige and Nathan. Due to them living in WI and busy schedules we “met” over email and FaceTime. Through our correspondence I could tell a few things about them right away. #1. Paige is a planner through and through and had carefully considered every second of her wedding day! #2. She was sweet and kind and caring and had a grateful heart. Even before I ever met her I knew I would enjoy working with her! Every time we talked she thanked me for my efforts and expressed such excitement to be working together. #3. She loved Nathan with all her heart and was probably counting down the hours, if not minutes, to becoming his wife! When I met Paige all of this was confirmed! Anyone that knows her knows I speak the truth! And Nathan…he was easy going, funny, humble, and crazy about Paige! By the end of the day I felt like I had known the two of them for years!
The photos speak for themselves, but their wedding day really could not have been any more beautiful! From the stunning wedding gown down to the sparkling heels, every detail was impeccable.
And who knew scuffed up hockey skates could add so much to a bridal bouquet!? Paige is a hockey fan to the core and has spent many hours out on the ice for fun and in competition. Believe it or not this bride actually laced up those skates and headed out to the ice for a few fun photos!
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, winter weddings are beautiful and some of my favorites! The snow, the quietness that comes from people being tucked away inside, the urge to stay close together for warmth, and the pleasure that the elusive sunshine brings all add to the romantic and whimsical atmosphere of a winter wedding. Paige and Nathan really couldn’t have asked for a better day! The midwest had been stuck in a deep freeze for weeks prior to their wedding day and then finally relief was felt just in time for outdoor portraits! But don’t let me fool you, even though 25 degrees felt quite balmy compared to the sub zero temperatures we were experiencing, the chill still came on quickly! Paige and Nathan were such troopers-stomping around in the snow in formal attire and a ballgown dress!
The day ended as most weddings do–with good food, laughing, and lots and lots of dancing!
Congratulations you two! I am so happy for you and all that lies ahead of you as husband and wife!
